The handles are inline, and they utilize the same spindle and screws to secure them. They can be easily mounted on a new or existing uPVC/Composite doors.

The design of the sprung lever allows the handle to be set and angled to ensure a comfortable experience and is suitable for all users. The handle has been endurance-tested to 200,000 cycles. This helps to ensure that the quality of finish and performance is maintained over time. The sprung lever is also adjustable to accommodate a wide range of locks. This is especially useful for narrower door frames where the cylinder is located further back. A shortened lever can also be used for doors with a latch which can be operated with the thumb inside.

Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle differs from the lever handles that are found on most doors. These handle types can either operate from a single spindle (inline) or independently from both sides using two offset or inline spindles (pad). They are usually utilized on UPVC doors with double glazed handles glazing. They are available in a variety of finishes and variations.

The handles have been tested to the minimum of 200k cycles and are available in various finishes like White, Silver, Chrome & Gold. The finish is in line with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, giving the handle a high level of durability and performance for its intended use.

The backplate fixation centers of 211mm allow for a wider handle, which is usually an advantage when replacing an old or damaged multi-point door lock mechanism. The handle levers are sprung, solving the problem of door handles sagging out of the horizontal position when not in use.

It is important to match the PZ dimensions of both the multipoint lock and the uPVC doors when choosing a replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement is often known as the "handle centre" or "cylinder centres and is an essential aspect in ensuring that you have the correct handles.

When you have the right PZ size, you'll be required to make sure that the handle lever pads and push pads are of a suitable shape to fit the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant handles that you require for your doors. These are typically rectangular or round in shape, with an internal lever and external push pad.

Euro Cylinder

Cylinder locks can be found on uPVC and other types of doors. They work by using a key that unlock a cylinder case that will reveal pins that can be aligned with the pins inside the lock body, allow them to rotate a revolving cam, thus opening the door. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins. External and internal doors require different levels of security.

The choice of cylinder is vital. It's dependent on the use that your doors and handles will receive. External doors, for instance, should be fitted with higher security cylinders, whereas internal doors can be secured with an ordinary cylinder. Some cylinders have extra features that can increase security, for instance, anti-drill or anti bump properties.

To make sure that the euro cylinder is the correct size for your door, it must be measured accurately. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, if there is one. If you are unable to measure with the lock in position, you can remove it. A cylinder that protrudes beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks such as snapping locks, so it is crucial that it is not too long.

The design of most newer cylinders has anti-drilling and bump resistance features. They are designed to minimize attacks by forcing cylinders to rotate in a different direction. This can deflect the attack, and protect your door.

There are also cylinders that have been made to withstand snapping. This is an increasingly common method of attack on cylinders, where the break line inside the lock is attacked with a special tool to break the double glazed front door handles of the cylinder and allow the door to be opened. This is a lot faster and less difficult than gaining access through a multipoint lock and leaves no evidence of a break-in, which can impede the insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is located inside the base plate of the door handle. It offers a spring-loaded solution to return your multipoint lock handles to their normal position after usage. These handles used to have no spring and would drop when the locking mechanism was removed. This component is the best solution to solve this issue. It also stops your door from becoming stuck in either the open or closed position as they are difficult to close manually.

These spring cassettes were created to be used with sprung multipoint lock. They won't work with unsprung handles, and you will have to cut a hole in your backplate for them to fit. (Please see the image for a detailed diagram). These cassettes are a replacement for damaged or missing cassettes on the backplate of uPVC door handles. They are supplied in a single unit. They come with a square cut out that is able to accommodate an 8mm shaft.
